The Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference (http://jazzednet.org/) is one of the world’s leading gatherings for jazz educators, students, and performers. Held annually in different U.S. cities, it features performances, workshops, research presentations, and networking opportunities that celebrate jazz education and innovation. I was invited to present at the JEN Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans on January 8, 2026.

Conference Presenter at The Australasian Jazz and Improvisation Research Network (AJIRN)
I presented my paper, “The Implementation of Contemporary Gospel Organ and Keyboard Techniques in Jazz Piano Improvisations,” at the AJIRN6 conference in Melbourne, Australia. I delivered the presentation via Zoom, sharing preliminary research from my Ph.D. dissertation that focuses on the incorporation of harmonic gospel movements into jazz standards. The presentation summarized a chapter from my written dissertation and highlighted key analytical and practical findings from this research.
